Heart attack can be the most common reason for heart pain. However, there can be certain other reasons that may lead to heart pain. These reasons can be acidity, anxiety and muscle strain.  However, the main concern when chest pain occurs is a heart attack.  One should be aware about the symptoms of the heart attack and immediate medical help should be sought inn case of these symptoms:

  • Pain in upper parts of body like jaw, upper body, arm or neck.
  • Shortness of breath
  • Nausea
  • Cold sweat
  • Lightheadedness

Women are less likely to experience intense chest pain than men.  They feel uncomfortable pressure. They are likely to experience the other symptoms of heart attack than a man.  

Besides heart attack the following can be the causes of chest pain:

  • Gastrointestinal problems such as ulcers and pancreatitis
  • Panic attack
  • Inflammation of the heart muscle
  • Muscle strain
  • Tuberculosis
  • Asthma

People suffering from the following ailments are at the reason of chest pain (heart attack):

  • A person suffering from hypertension or high blood pressure
  • Diabetic patients
  • Smokers or the people who chew tobacco
  • High level of cholesterols
  • Family history of heart disease
  • Lack of physical activity
  • Stress and anxiety
  • Sleep deprivation

Some Home Remedies for Heart Pain

Almonds: In case the cause of heart pain is acid reflux almonds might relieve the pain.

Cold Pack:  A common cause of heart or chest pain is muscle strain. This may happen due to strain from exercise, etc.

Hot Drinks: A hot drink may help eliminate gas when heart pain is due to gas or bloating. The hot drink can also help boost digestion.

Baking Soda: Baking soda can also help reduce the acid in the stomach that is causing the pain in the heart. Baking soda should be added to warm or cool water. It helps in case of heartburn. However, the excess of its use may cause damage to the heart.

Garlic: Garlic may help to reverse heart disease.  Pieces of garlic could be chewed for maximum benefit. It can also help to reverse heart disease and reduce the buildup of plaque in the arteries.

Apple Cider Vinegar: Apple Cider Vinegar is good to help with acid reflux. Before drinking it before or after the meal may prevent acid reflux.

Ginger: Ginger is believed to have anti-inflammatory effects. Research indicates that ginger may also help ease stomach issues and prevent vomiting.

Turmeric Milk: It has anti-inflammatory properties that may reduce pain symptoms in the chest. Recent studies indicate that turmeric milk can reduce the level of cholesterol.

Yoga: Many yoga asanas and yogic kriyas are said to reduce the chances of heart attack.

Pain in the heart is a serious problem. Healt="image not found"hy life style, exercise and yoga can help us to prevent ourselves from this disease. Prevention is the best cure in this disease.
