Diagnosis in Ayurveda – 4 Lip Diagnosis
Like other organs of the body the lips too reflect the health or disease of the various organs in the human body. The shape, surface, colour and contour of the lips are very important. Like any other organs, lips are also affected by some imbalance in Vatu, Pitta and Kapha Doshas.
If the lips are dry, this indicates dehydration. It means Vata is not in balance. In case the lips are thin and dry then these libs are Vata lips.
If the lips are dry, these indicate the imbalance in Pitta. There could be tremors on the lips and these are a sign of fear or anxiety.
In case the lips are thick and oily, this is an imbalance in Kapha. There could be brown spots on the lips and there could be the sign of chronic indigestion and there could be the presence of worms in the colon.
